Applicants considering Architecture, Dentistry, Industrial Design, Law, Medicine and Nursing, please take note of the following information:

Architecture

4-year Architecture course for undergraduates.

Requirements

• Good ‘A’ Level results.

• H1/H2 ‘A’ level curriculum: H1 pass in Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics; OR pass in ‘O’ level Additional Mathematics

• ‘A’ level curriculum:

‘AO’ Level pass in Mathematics or a Science subject (except Biology, Botany, Geology or Zoology).

• And indicate Architecture as first or second or third choice on the application.                                      

Locals with International qualifications should have equivalent high school qualifications and overall good grades including good passes in Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics.

Polytechnic Diploma applicants should present an acceptable Diploma.

Other information

Beginning in Academic Year 2011, applicants shortlisted for Architecture and Industrial Design must attend separate interviews and tests conducted by the School of Design and Environment.

Applicants will be notified via the Online Application Status Facility if they are shortlisted. SMS alert will be sent to shortlisted candidates who have provided a valid Singapore mobile number in their admissions application form.

No hardcopy/email notification will be sent. Shortlisted candidates should download or print the electronic invitation letter for retention.

Dentistry

4-year Dentistry course for undergraduates. 

Requirements• Good ‘A’ Level results.

• Good pass in Chemistry.

• Two other subjects, of which one must be Biology or Physics.

• And indicate Dentistry as first or second choice on the application.

Locals with International qualifications should have equivalent high school qualifications and overall good grades including good passes in Chemistry and either Biology or Physics.

Multiple Mini Interviews Date: 25 March, 7-8 April & 21 April 2018
Dentistry admission
With effect from 2016, shortlisted candidates are no longer required to submit any supporting documents (e.g. educational transcripts/results slip, CCA records, testimonials) to the Faculty of Dentistry prior to the Multiple Mini Interviews or Manual Dexterity Test.

The Multiple Mini Interviews comprise a circuit of stations which could include an interview or performance of a specific tast. These stations aim to examine the applicants' interest in Dentistry and if they suitably display attributes oral health care professionals should espouse. The duration of the Multiple Mini Interviews will be 1 hour.
Other information

Shortlisted applicants must appear personally for both the Manual Dexterity Test and Multiple Mini Interviews.

Industrial Design Course

4-year Industrial Design course for undergraduates.

Requirements

• Good ‘A’ Level results.

Law

4-year LLB Programme for undergraduates.

Requirements

• Good ‘A’ Level results.

• B3 (for old syllabus) / B (for new syllabus) or better in General Paper (GP) or a good pass in Knowledge & Inquiry (KI) (for new syllabus) or minimum SAT critical reading score of 700 and a C6 in GP.

• Indicate Law as first or second choice on the application form. The only exception granted is where Law is indicated as third choice with Medicine, Dentistry, Architecture, Industrial Design or Nursing as their first two choices. 

Locals with International qualifications should have equivalent high school qualifications and a high level of proficiency of the English Language. Applicants presenting the TOEFL or IELTS should obtain a minimum 600 or 7.0 respectively.

Applicants with Advanced Placement (AP) should obtain a minimum Grade of 4 for AP English.

Applications will be open to all polytechnic diplomas w.e.f. Academic Year 2006-07.

3-Year Graduate LL.B. Programme (GLB)

Requirements• A good first degree from a good University, with 2 academic referees.
• And indicate Law as first or second choice on the application. 
Locals with International qualifications should submit proof of a high level of proficiency in the English Language if their first language or the medium of instruction in the University which they obtained their first degree is not English. Applicants presenting the TOEFL or IELTS should obtain a minimum 600 or 7.0 respectively.

• Good pass in Chemistry.

Situational Judgement TestDate: 2 & 8 April 2018

Admission to Medicine

All candidates who are shortlisted for Medicine will be notified to nominate two referees for the writing of the referee reports. The two referee reports, together with the personal statement, official testimonial and CCA list submitted at the time of application, will form the complete portfolio for the Focused Skills Assessment. The portfolio will be reviewed by the assessors and the selection committee. If you need to make enquiries on this, you may email your enquiry to medadmissions@nuhs.edu.sg

Other information

All students applying to Medicine must also submit a portfolio together with the formal application made on the NUS Office of Admissions website, prior to being shortlisted. The items to be submitted as part of the portfolio during this stage are: the personal statement (500 words), CCA list, and official testimonial from your junior college, polytechnic or high school. Applicants who wished to be considered under the Discretionary Admission scheme for Medicine should apply under the Exceptional Individual Scheme at https://itumed.nus.edu.sg/ram/application/home.aspx by 6 March 2018.


Nursing

3-year Nursing course for undergraduates.

Requirements

• Good ‘A’ Level results.

• 'A' Level passes in any two of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Physics, either Mathematics or Further Mathematics.

• And indicate Nursing as first or second or third choice on the application. 

Locals with International qualifications should have equivalent high school qualifications and overall good grades.
